Strand Studio
Strand Studio opened in September 1997 and was one of the first
to open in NZ. The studio is equipped with reformers, a trapeze
table, a wonderchair, a ladder barrell and additional equipment
adapted by Alan Herdman, thus making the Strand Studio unique.
It is light, airy and filled with calm concentration; a world away
from conventional gyms. To be a good instructor takes several years
and a lot of experience. Under Brenda's expert guidance and with
her vast knowledge of Pilates, you will achieve rapid and lasting
results. Pilates is suitable for everyone of all ages and levels
of fitness.

Instructors
Brenda Wing's long association with Pilates began in the UK in
1986. Having come from a sporting background - gymnastics, swimming,
tennis and netball - she has always had a great interest in any
form of movement associated with health, fitness and wellbeing.
She discovered Pilates in London and started her training under
the guidance of Alan Herdman. Alan worked intensively with the original
assistants of Joseph Pilates - Carola Trier and Robert Fitzgerald,
before returning to the UK and opening the first Pilates studio
in London in 1971. When Brenda came back to NZ in 1997, she set
up her own studio in Parnell, which was one of the first to be opened
in NZ.

Sign up and pay in full for the first ten sessions and the introductory
session will be discounted to $50.00
Your first introductory session will be 1:1 in order to assess
your personal needs and requirements. You can continue on a 1:1
basis or attend studio sessions where everyone comes at their own
individual time with a maximum of 4 people. Sessions run between
60-90 minutes. All sessions are booked and paid for in advance.
